Riding lessons are a hands-on activity in Horses of Hoofprint Bay: watch a student ride, correct their posture and combine the corrections as the lesson progresses. Students pay for the lesson, making it one way to earn money with your own horses.

Giving a riding lesson

Open the lesson option and follow the posture prompts. Corrections can focus on the rider's legs or hands; later steps ask you to put the corrections together.

Work through the prompts as they appear. In one recorded session, a missed correction was fixed and the lesson continued. That does not establish that every mistake is harmless, but it shows that a missed prompt does not always end the session immediately.

Preparing the horse

Check the horse's energy before starting. If it is already near exhaustion, rest it instead of stacking more work into the day. A player in one session chose to wait until the next day rather than give a lesson with a tired horse; this is an example of pacing work, not a guaranteed recovery timer.

An early goal shown in a creator session asks for at least 20 strength and 15 endurance before a lesson. Use the goal displayed in your own save to judge readiness. Another recorded tip describes lunging as less demanding than riding, which may help with early training.

Hiring a lesson instructor

A house upgrade unlocked new staff in one playthrough, including an instructor who could give riding lessons using the player's horses. Check your current staff applications for the available instructor, fee and lesson capacity.

The recorded menu figures varied with that build. Compare the actual fee with your own lesson income instead of assuming a fixed number of lessons will always cover the cost.
